MINERS TRADE UNION STRIKE POSTCARD FROM 1984 (6)

I have seen this refered to as Transprt Workers, National Union Of Transport Workers and various other definitions. In fact this badge is from The National Union of Towns Womens Guilds, not a trade union at all.

Another badge recently advertised as being from a civil service trade union, Civil and Public Services Association, was in fact a badge of the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association. This badge was orange and no simalar coloured badge was ever issued by CPSA union.

If you want to be sure the badges you are buying are in fact trade union badges then you should subscribe to Trade Union Badge Collectors News. This is a quarterly newsletter which always contains interesting articles on the trade union movement and badges in particular. e mail me if you want the address to join
