PAYPAL

Do you accept Paypal payments ?

Ever suffered a chargeback which was unjustified ?

I urge EVERY reader of this guide that accepts Paypal to think about what they are doing.

Over the last month (October 2006)Iwassubjected to a 2500 credit card fraud, and acharge back for supposedly "goods not received", which according to Royal Mail have been signed for and delivered. What do Paypal do about it - NOTHING. Can your business aford to lose this kind of money (and believe me it happens regularly.

Sufficed to say, I can not be bothered to go into the fine details here, but if you want to know more please feel free to get in touch with me and I will give youthe details on how bad they really are to deal with..

We were so disgusted with the 'service' we received from Paypal, andtheir distinct lack of support for the seller (the ones that actually make them their money), we completely closed down our account which was worth over 6000 in transactions per month, and refuse to have anything else to do with them. If you want to know more about their contempt for the customer - email us at enquiries @weightoncoin.com, and we will give you a web address that shows just how bad it can get.

Please - I urge you to get your own merchant account from the bank - it is cheaper, easier to deal with, and has far more protection than Paypal will EVER provide. We have just opened a merchant account of our own, and in one phone call we got more sense from them (streamline), than we got from many contacts (after much waiting) from Paypal.

So why are we bothering to post this guide ?

The answer is simple. As a reputable company that deals in relatively high value goods, we now have experience of just how easy it is for scammers and fraudsters to use the anonymity of eBay and Paypal (being a 3rd party service), todefraud honest sellers out of their hard earned merchandise.
