Bargain 0.01p Items. TRUTH IS REVEALED!

Are you one of the people who buys the 1p items such as headphones and all sorts from China?

Well,
I have been thinking about this a lot lately, and have read a lot about
the critizism it recieves and also the customers that are genuinely
happy, and not just putting Good feedback to get positive feedback in
return.

People who are scammers can open 100 of these auctions
for around 10. They would then have a good reputation on eBay within a
week or so of listing every 10 mins or so. (Usually by an illegal
script to save money on Scheduled listings).
They then use this
reputation to sell things such as phones that are refurbished to look
better than they are, and sell them for over 100 with a good
reputation.

EXAMPLE:
I
knew one guy. He sold a bunch of items. Got 134 Positive feedback,
100%. He waited 30 days for the new user icon to disappear, and then he
did something pretty crazy. He made around 20 auctions selling the new
Nokia N96. However, all of these were refurbished second hand N81
devices, and made to look like the N96. If you look at the 2 phones on
Google images, you will see how it can easily be done with some crafty
skills.

So, whats the moral and point of this?
Well,
when you are buying your 1p items, and thinking you have got a good
deal and some bonus feedback. Just remember that you could be helping a
user to gain a reputation to swindle hundreds of from innocent
users. That user could even be you if you are stupid enough to add him
to your favourite sellers to buy more 1p items from him, see his new
N96 on offer, and think youve hit the jackpot bonus. Trust me, it
happens to a lot of people.

So be careful, and think a bit
differently about those "good deal guys". A lot of them are doing it
for a reason..to be a criminal and create a bad experience for innocent
eBay users!
