Why American?
Some people model American railroads in ho scale because of the immense range of what is available others simply because of what they have seen when in the states, maybe someone has bought you an american loco or you are just fascinated by the different railway scene over the pond or maybe you just dont want to run a fleet of class 66s? There are many older types of loco still hard at work in the u.s in loads of different company liveries.
