Why you need four baby bouncy seats.

We were having a baby, we bought one bouncy cradle seat, you know the kind, that you lay the baby in and usually end up bouncing with your foot because the soon as you stop they wake up and waaa.

We bought one, as we did with virtually everything else. One cot, one pram, one changing table, one bouncy seat. Bad move. The very first thing you realize when you bring your newbie home is that almost everything you want to do can not be done with one hand while you as the terrified new parent holds what they assume to be the world first glass baby.

The first time you go to the kitchen, you realize you can not SAFELY make a cup of coffee while holding a two day old baby. Neither can you go to the toilet, wash your hands, put in laundry or take a bath.

I suggest you buy four baby bouncy seats. Put one in the living room, one in the bathroom, one in the kitchen and have a spare that can travel around, like in the garden when you need to go hang laundry.

My poor little son spent many a time sleeping in the clean laundry basket on the kitchen floor when I got there to do something and realized I could not do it while holding him. Didn't want to leave him in another room without me, so had to make a "nest" in the closest safe place possible.

If I had to do it again, I would buy at least three bouncy seats and spread them out.

Good luck with the newbie, hold them as much as you can because by the time they get to six months they will no longer want to lay back in your arms like a baby and that time will be gone forever. I know it's hard, this is the most dramatic change your life ever underwent, and you spend all your waking (and sleeping) hours trying to stop them crying so you can sit still, in shock, wondering what on Earth possessed you.

Enjoy it while you have it :) they are only really little for such a short time.
