Buying or Selling Belleek

Hi and thanks for taking the time read this guide.I have been collecting Belleek for over 5 years and have a substantial collection.I have noticed a trend in recent times whereby sellers include the name Belleek but are not selling Belleek. Also please note that if you are selling genuine Belleek collectors like to know from what period the piece is from. The best website to date a piece of Belleek can be found here http://www.ladymarion.co.uk/book/marks/It is strongly reccomended that if you are a seller to include a picture of the mark.A history of Belleek can be found here. http://www.ibgifts.com/belleek-china-history.htmlI find it very frustrating when searching for more pieces I come across Belleek in the title but the item is either Kylemore or other parian china.Sellers that do this are what is called "keyword spamming". Ebay take a dim view of this and your listing can be removed. If the item is not Belleek then why try and con people with misleading titles? For anyone interested in starting a collection my advice would be to start with some small pieces say around 10-20. There are bargains to be found.Belleek has become really collectable and the price is increasing year on year.If you are buying please do not forget to check out the links I have provided. Lastly if an advertised piece of Belleek does not have a picture of the Belleek mark ask the seller to email you one. If you do not hear from the seller or if they refuse to provide a picture then do not bid.Happy buying or selling
