helium balloon kits can now be hired or purchased (hiring is cheapest), including your choice of baloons and curling ribbons. Clusters and arches are very easy to achieve and could be put together in an hour or two by a friend or relative on the day or maybe consider plain heart shaped foil balloons which will float for at least a week, so could be done well in advance.
